for the love of fall

I love this season. It reminds me of weekend afternoons spent with my mom in our cozy home with blankets and warm drinks. We watched one of three movies- baby boom, bed of roses, or pure country. Only one of these three... we're obsessed. It was time just the two of us could spend together, i loved it.

Corvallis is gorgeous in the fall and due to the movies we watched, I cannot wait to go to Vermont (baby boom) and back to New York (bed of roses) someday- maybe sooner than later.

Fall is always good for...
.candles- pumpkin spice, leaves, and nutmeg
.pumpkin spice and toffee nut mochas
.cozy boots
.warm sweaters
.cold, brisk days
.turning the heater on
.getting ready for the holidays!

being a wife

I LOVE being andy's wife. He is going to school, working 40 hours a week, and is just a rockstar. It is week 5 for him and I honestly don't know how he does it all, other than the pot+ of coffee he drinks each day. I hope our kids don't come out with some disease because their parents had too much coffee when they were young. He is good at checking up on me and seeing how I'm doing not spending oodles of time with him anymore. He makes time for late night movies, talk time, and coffee breaks.

I am already excited for Christmas break.
1. I get to spend time with my hubby.
2. IT'S CHRISTMAS.. my favorite time of the year.
3. Our FIRST anniversary (I'm pumped!)

On my Mary Engelbreit tear off calendar (which my gramzy, mom, and sister buy each year. I was recently included in the bunch because I got hitched. Purpose= so that we can all be looking at the same thing each morning. Thanks to Liz Coulombe for her sweet thinking =)) for September 22nd it struck me.

So I hung it on the fridge. I save ones that I love. Throughout the week I kept thinking of this quote and valuing my marriage, how far we've come and how many more adventures we'll have. I love andy more, appreciate him more, and look up to him as the leader more than when we were dating, got engaged, or even on our wedding day.

Marriage is such a blessing and I learn more each hour of the day as to why God came up with the whole idea. Don't get me wrong, we have had our rough days this year and will continue to for years and years to come... but growing with each other is irreplaceable.

our little nieces.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 4th niece. She is due October 14th, but my sister in law is having contractions... so we're hoping she comes within the next week. We are getting so excited to meet her. We had Lisa's shower on September 12th and it hit me how fun watching her grow, crawl, walk, and talk will be. God is so intricate with each little human. I can't wait to see what her personality is like.

the girls

With the arrival of our newest girl it got me thinking how much i love being an aunt. Ava, Alina, and Anna are so precious, we are blessed. Ava is the older, matter of fact, leader type. Alina is hilarious, sweet, and a follows her big sis. Anna just smiles and is the perfect little cuddle bug. Ava just started her second year of preschool and turned 5 on September 12th. I remember so clearly the day she was born. Each birth is so exciting. I had the huge honor of watching Anna come into the world and it is an experience I will never forget. What an emotional/exciting/draining 13 hours. my sister rocked it. I admire her for the strength she has. I can only hope i will have an ounce of her strength when i give birth.
