Fab finds.

I still can't believe it's July, let alone almost August! These two little lives I'm with each day are growing at such a rapid rate- the crazy, hard, fun days are cruising by me too fast. Between naps, potty training, nursing, and the busyness of life I've found a few fun things I wanted to share.

I follow many of the girls from the bachelor/bachelorette on Instagram and a few months ago Renee Oteri from Juan Pablo's season posted about Pura Vida Bracelets. I instantly fell in love with them. Easy for a mama, stackable, fun colors, and not too dressy.
I love the style of them and they aren't too pricey. I signed up to be a rep just for fun and to score a few freebies. They are an awesome company- full of helping others (providing jobs in Costa Rica and supporting your favorite charities through jewelry making) check out puravidabracelets.com. At checkout enter the code CROWE10 for 10% off your order. They will give you a code to post after you purchase which is good for 24 hours for a friend to use- they get 50% off and you get $20 to buy more goodies!

The second product I've fallen in love with is Younique 3D Fiber Mascara (fiber is made from green tea fibers). It's naturally based, safe for contact lens wearers, water resistant and washes off easily at the end of the day. I'm a sucker for long lashes and it's as easy to apply as your regular mascara! Thankfully a girl I went to high school with sells it. Here are some pictures to show just how fabulous it is!

It looks wonky since one side is done and one isn't!

Finished product!

This stuff is ONLY $29!!!!! And lasts for 2-3 months. Basically not any different than buying a $10-$15 mascara each month. It has helped me feel more confident and wear less makeup. I'm only pairing it with a little blush and bronzer and I'm good to go!

Suzie Phelps is my friend who sells it and for 10 days she has an online party open (closes at midnight on August 3rd) and all who order will be put into a drawing for a lipgloss giveaway too! Winner will be chosen on August 4th. Here's the link and happy shopping:

life with two.

i've survived a month as a mama of two. a month that went by faster than i would've thought. a month full of emotions, transitions, new beginnings, many tears, lots of smiles, and my heart feeling full. a month of thinking about these two lives we so graciously have been blessed with on this earth. the more i watch them the more i'm reminded how miraculous life is and how God is truly an artist. my family is the best gift i've received this side of heaven.

giving birth to my sweet hadley was a dream when she was handed to me- a combination of conquering birth and finally having her in my arms. i wasn't able to have that time with harper. holding this tiny being, her life simply beginning. my heart expanding, tears flowing, officially a family of four.

six days after hadley was born i was struck with the realization that it wasn't just harper anymore- it wasn't just going to be the two of us during the day. had i been asked when i was pregnant if i felt prepared for this part i would've said yes, as much as i could be. i clearly wasn't. for a few days i looked at her and cried. watching her play, sleep, hug her daddy, or cry from an "owie." i'm thankful i'll always remember life with just her. i wonder where the first two years of her life went and i see hadley and wonder what she'll be like in two years. my love for them is different, yet the same and runs wildly deep.

i think of my mom and how she must feel in relation to Kareena and i. how having children is exactly like the quote by elizabeth stone "making the decision to have a chid-- it is momentous. it is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." truth. it's overwhelming, beautiful, difficult, unlike any other love. love that Jesus has given us as parents to feel.

harper kisses hadley's head probably as much as i do during the day. i see their love forming more as the days go on. i get so excited when i think of what they'll be like as they grow up. plenty of fighting, playing house, hair pulling, laughing, doing what sisters do. but for now i enjoy the exploring, poopy diapers, random kisses, silly dances, funny expressions, newborn smells, and lots of snuggles. they will have each other for life and won't know life without the other in it. they are a gift to andy and i and a gift to each other.

thank you, Jesus for my girls.

thirty.seven.weeks

Here we go- down to the last 3 weeks! Two dear friends of mine delivered this last week, makes me that much more excited to meet Hadley. There's nothing like holding a sweet newborn.

how far along: 37.5 weeks.

size of babe: 6.5 lbs, 19 inches.

sleep: sleeping well. I wake up in the same position I started in- clearly getting too hard to roll over without waking up!

symptoms: feeling pressure and having some cramping on and off.

best moments: having a pedicure with a few friends yesterday- coffee and relaxing was what I needed.

looking forward to: Hadley being here!   I'm getting more and more excited/ready/anxious as the days go on.
