Weeks 19-23

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!
We are so very excited!!! We both completely thought it was a boy, you'd think among 4 nieces, but we are awaiting her arrival so much more now! We had all the measurements taken that day (August 10th) and at our follow up appointment on August 24th, her and I were right on target. This week she is a little over a pound and around 10-11 inches, according to my books and online. She's growing like a weed!
We revealed to our parents and siblings later that night. I made a cake Tuesday and had the frosting minus the color. We raced home, basked in what we had just found out, and I frosted the cake in a pretty pink. Our families were so excited, they had trouble waiting for us to get there, but it was worth it!

Us about to reveal:

Here she is!!!

And our 4-D of her little bod:

Apparently, as you can see, she loves her hands. They stayed in this spot the whole time!

I had this waiting for me when I got to work on the 11th of August, blessed by my friends at work!

Week 23:

We've been busy and hoping our weekends will slow down a bit soon. :)

Two couples we love got married on the 27th of August. We had one at 1 pm outside Hillsboro and one at 5 in Sandy. Our camera isn't working, so only if I was glued to AC did I get photos. Bad friend. It was an awesome day, filled with love!

Our beloved east coast friends Ryon and Nikki:

I didn't get any of the second wedding, but it was a glorious uniting of two!

We went shopping with AC's grandparents and found a crib in Corvallis! We're pumped! We'll get it by the end of this month!

AC started on our fence over Labor Day weekend with his dad. Here's the progress of the posts! Looking forward to the end result! Thank you my hard working honey!

Last night, September 10th was another wedding, Chris and Katrina. I was honored to be in her wedding and we had a fun day. She looked radiant. We wish they still lived here, but are looking forward to seeing what God will do in their new little family.

Kylie and I:

We have one more event this month and hoping next month we can take a "babymoon" before our little peanut arrives. Looking forward to our time away together!

Weeks 15-18

Wow! Time has flown by. I can't believe I'm almost halfway through!! Today, I am 18 weeks 4 days... 3 days away from finding out the gender, if it's not hiding the goods that is. Our appointment is at 11 am and should take 1-1/2 hours. We both have to go back to work (for AC, he can't tell his dad and for me I have hungry co-workers who are dying to know!). We're going to my parents to meet Steve and Kathy, my sister and her family, and Matt and Lisa via skype. Our plan is to do cupcakes with frosting the color of the gender, unless I get more creative before Wednesday. We can't wait... and neither can our families. I woke up thinking it was definitely a boy... so we'll see what the next few days brings and if my "motherly intuition" changes!

Our dear friends Danae and Travis were married July 23rd. Danae and I have known each other since the 6th grade, kindred spirits. It was an amazing wedding. Her sisters, new sister in law and I got ready with her, ooed and awed at her beauty, and then couldn't believe it was all over. It was magical. The decorations were beautiful. The bride and groom were glowing... the whole night. AC and I went to the fair a few days ago with the Armentano's (Danae's sister and brother in law), and the new Berge's! We got to see their tan Tahitian color and find out how their honeymoon was. I love friend dates. So grateful we are surrounded by awesome friends.

Weeks 13 and 14

I'm already not doing a fabulous job of keeping up! I can't believe it's already July. I think we're busy every weekend nearly for the rest of the summer!

This weekend is one I've been waiting for (but never thought would ever happen)... since I was in 5th grade. My sister and her little fam are moving to Corvallis. WHAT?! Crazy... God works in wondrous ways for sure. It's weird to even type that in a sentence together. Having my sister here while I'm growing this little peanut, being closer for every little niece event, and having our kids grow up 15-20 minutes away. WOW. That's a blessing. I don't even know what it's going to be like, honestly, to live so close to her. Play dates, grocery shopping, it all brings a smile to my face.

I had my second appointment last Friday. Kathy (my mother in law) came with me, because AC had to do payroll at work. It was great to have her there! We listened to the little bean- healthy heart rate! I teared up again... it's just so incredible to me what's going on inside, yet I don't feel much of it. Our big 20 week-ish appointment is on August 10th!!! Hopefully we'll be able to see what it is for sure. I've heard the Corvallis folk at Good Sam are usually right on, so that's encouraging. I will be 19 weeks at that point, we can't wait!!!
