this year has seemed to fly by. i feel like i'm still sad that christmas is over. although I shouldn't, it's a day, same amount of time as any other day. although, i am looking forward to spring and maybe a little more sunshine.
our week has been a little different aka teething child= less sleep= more cranky days but also a few more kisses and snugs.
it has been eventful in my mind though. i've been trying to be more intentional about my time with harper and how precious it really is. if that means playing with her more, rocking her a bit longer before a nap or bed, hugging and kissing more, talking more, or holding her hand as we walk down the hall. she is silly, affectionate and can be a little diva at times. but half of me and half of andy, our little mixture. i often watch her as she's exploring something or simply walking around and realize how much i love this girl. she is beyond any word that could describe how much of a blessing she is and how much she has changed my life. the love for a child is unlike any kind of love. it makes me incredibly thankful (again, no words to truly describe) for my mom. now i know what it's like. my mom has always been affectionate with my sister and i, if nothing else we have never lacked in feeling loved. i can only hope i have taken a few traits of hers along my mothering journey.
i am feeling simply blessed to be a mommy. what a gift from jesus.
happy friday beautiful people! ❤
